I have a special interest in injuries that either directly or indirectly damage the central or peripheral nervous system that cause long term neurological disabilities. This includes brain and spinal cord injuries, a wide variety of chronic pain conditions and related psychological conditions.
In addition, I have and continue to deal claims arising from multiple orthopaedic injuries including those that give rise to elective limb amputation as well pursuing claims on behalf of family members whose loved ones who have been hose killed in accidents that have occurred either on the road or at work.
During my career I have represented individuals, membership organisations and insurance companies in all aspects of both claimant and defendant related personal injury related litigation. I have extensive knowledge and experience of pursuing and dealing with claims in the areas of Road Traffic (transport), Employers, Public, Product and Occupiers Liability related actions covering all levels of value and complexity.
I undertook his training with trade union firm Rowley Ashworth before being admitted as a Solicitor in 1984. In 1986, I moved from Russell Jones and Walker (now Slater & Gordon) to specialise in the field of Personal Injury where I was appointed a partner 1990. In 2002, I moved to Cogent Solicitors (now Plexus) where as a lead solicitor and then partner I worked with the Large Loss Unit of a major general insurer defending high value and complex Personal Injury claims.
Recent cases: include two “six figure settlements” for clients who injuries resulted in them developing a Chronic Pain condition and a settlement in excess of £650,000 for a client whose injury accelerated a pre-existing degenerative neurological condition.
