We know that abuse contributes to low self-esteem, and impairs healthy psycho-social development. Elderly victims of abuse and neglect, coupled with limited physical capacity and increased vulnerability, often suffer in silence, fearful of what they imagine might happen to them should the abuse become known.
Abuse can occur anywhere, to anyone and take many forms. The person causing harm may be a stranger but more often than not is known to the victim and is frequently in a position of trust and power. Whatever the degree of and nature of abuse, its damaging effects can last a lifetime.
Our national team has experts with considerable experience in advising on these cases. Our priority is always to ensure the immediate safety of any vulnerable victim as well as helping to rebuild their health and happiness, using our legal expertise in dealing with vulnerable clients.
We can draw on the skills and knowledge of a multi-disciplinary team across many relevant areas of law and will work with you for as long as it takes to ensure the safety and well-being of your loved one, making the process as straightforward and stress free as possible.
