Alice Folliss

Associate

Medical Negligence

Alice qualified in December 2022 and is an Associate in the Clinical Negligence Department.
Alice Folliss

Prior to working at Shoosmiths, Alice studied Law LLB at the University of Cardiff and worked as a Paralegal in the Healthcare Department of a leading Welsh law firm. Alice joined Shoosmiths as a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence Department in September 2015 where she gained experience in all types of claims ranging from relatively straightforward cases against a single hospital Trust, to more complex claims involving multiple Defendants and catastrophic injury of the most severe nature.

Alice continued her studies whilst working full time as a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence Department and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in December 2022.  Alice is now an Associate within the Department and runs her own case load of clinical negligence matters including cases concerning the failure to diagnose and treat cancer, severe infection, orthopaedic injuries, obstetric injuries and stillbirth claims. Alice also has experience in dealing with complex mental health claims and has gained significant experience in representing bereaved families at inquest.

Alice understands that one of the most important aspects of our work is to help clients rebuild their lives to reach their optimum level of independence and she has been instrumental in helping clients to access the rehabilitation they require.

Alice pays great attention to detail and communicates in a clear and empathetic manner to all clients who have readily expressed their gratitude for her kindness and assistance. She is generous with her time and works well with others.
