Lorcan Young

Paralegal

Serious Injury

Lorcan is a paralegal at the Birmingham office - he joined the Serious Injury team in October 2023 following his masters degree in Legal Practice at the University of Law.
Lorcan Young

Lorcan is currently training to qualify as a solicitor and manages his own caseload. Lorcan works closely alongside Dan O'Keeffe, and has assisted in complex spinal injury claims, including Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES) claims. Lorcan has also assisted in cases against Mr Shah, former Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Walsall Manor Hospital, supporting patients who have suffered significant and long term injuries to their shoulder(s) as a result of the treatment they received.

Lorcan takes pride in fighting his clients' corner to represent them and give them a voice following negligent medical care. Lorcan is a firm believer in advocating for and promoting accessibility and inclusion. Lorcan understands that everyone has different needs and works closely with his clients to ensure they feel they are being listened to and their individual needs are met. This is particularly important for client's who have suffered serious and debilitating injuries. Adjusting to a disability can be challenging, and Lorcan promotes an inclusive environment to support his client's during challenging times.

Lorcan has regularly participated in volunteering and charity events. Lorcan is a member of the Birmingham Office's Charity Committee. In 2024, they organised a variety of events to raise money and awareness for Molly Ollys, a charity to support children with life-threatening illnesses.

Outside of work, Lorcan enjoys reading (particularly science fiction) and creative outlets such as crochet, painting, and crafting with his friends.
