They need help and guidance at a time when they are least well emotionally equipped to handle all the complex issues involved. Providing not just technical legal advice, but information, support and practical guidance in the aftermath of bereavement is essential to help families at such a challenging time in their lives.
The work of Cruse, a national charity which offers confidential support and advice to children, young people and adults when a loved one dies, is often vital in helping families at such a challenging time in their lives.
That’s why we were delighted to have the opportunity to support the valuable work done by the trained volunteers who provide these services for free by taking part in the ‘Footprints Walk and Festival’ on Sunday 17 July at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham.
Anyone who attends their GP to discuss bereavement in the Birmingham area will be referred to the Cruse Birmingham branch which is situated in Corporation Street near to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The 5km sponsored walk has been a great success in previous years, publicising the charity’s work with children, adults and families and raising over £4,000 in 2015. This year’s event was a really enjoyable family day bringing people together to help raise money for this worthwhile cause.
